Be careful when shopping Semi-Automatic key duplicators. To be Semi-Automatic it must have a spring mechanism that holds the key carriage against cutter and guide. This is what makes it Semi-Automatic. There are machines on the market claiming to be "Semi-Automatic," but truly, they are simply Lever Operated machines with no spring mechanism. All the Semi-Automatic machines we offer are truly Semi-Automatic with both spring and lever. The Power Speedex® is a semi-automatic key cutting machine, it is equipped with a spring-loaded carriage and safety release. This design holds the carriage against the cutter and tracer when cutting keys. The Power Speedex® has a molded plastic cover that encloses the heavy-duty motor. The 4-way jaws hold a large variety of different key blanks, including double-sided automotive keys. The HPC-9180MC's expansive carriage range accommodates large-bow keys and large remote head keys. The reversible tracer allows you to cut flat steel keys with the optional slotting cutter kit (No. CW-16KIT). The HPC-9180MC comes with the HPC Softie™ de-burring brush. The simplicity of operating the Power Speedex® makes easy work out of duplicating even a large number of keys. The durable construction and bronze bearings combine for a long lasting, accurate machine.This semi-automatic key cutting machine will duplicate many large head and remote head keys, including the Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge remote head key. Inverters: We have fully tested this semi-automatic key cutting machine with our inverters. During our testing the machine worked with the THMS-2000 inverter we offer. Since that testing, we have had customers report that the THMS-2000 will not work with this machine. The manufacturer now states that they do not recommmend powering this machine with an inverter. We no longer guarantee that this machine will work with any inverter. If you need to use an inverter, you should choose another machine. 120VAC/60Hz This machine has been updated to accomidate remote head and other large bow automotive keys.
