The Powerglide Catalyst is a 57in two-piece snooker cue on an enhanced-grain ash shaft, with a machine-spliced rosewood butt carrying a hand-spliced ash front splice and blue venee rs. Combining a machined butt with a hand-cut front splice is how this price point gets the look and balance of a spliced cue without the hours a fully hand-spliced butt takes. Grains are matched at the centre joint so the shaft reads as one continuous piece when the cue is assembled, and a brass ferrule carries the 9.5mm tip. The shaft measures 71cm and the butt 73.8cm. A leather buffer at the butt end takes the knocks of the cue being stood down between shots, which is where an unprotected butt picks up its first damage. Show more
