The Powerglide Skyline is a 57in two-piece cue with a maple shaft and a ramin butt finished with a decal wrap design. Maple is the standard shaft timber for American pool: it is pa ler and closer-grained than ash, without the feathering pattern, and takes a smooth finish that runs cleanly through the bridge hand. The butt carries a rubber grip section, which holds the hand in place when it is warm or damp — a practical difference over a plain lacquered butt in a busy room. The shaft measures 72.5cm and the butt 72cm, and the cue is fitted with a 10mm tip, the larger diameter that pool play uses compared with the 9.5mm typical of snooker. Show more
