Surdo mallet with large felt head The Percussion Plus PP431 is a large surdo mallet designed to produce a deep, resonant sound with plenty of volume. Its large hard felt head creat es the characteristic booming response of a surdo, making it well suited to samba bands, percussion ensembles and marching applications. A lightweight aluminium shaft keeps the mallet comfortable and well balanced in the hand, while the blue wrist tie helps keep it secure during playing. The PP431 is supplied individually and is designed for use with surdos and other large samba drums. Large felt head The large hard felt head produces a resonant, loud boom rather than the sharper attack associated with harder beaters.
