Small and light enough to fit in a surf travel bag for your world travels. This size balance board gives kids, adults, beginners and pros a perfect ride for everybody. Narrow stub tail and a narrow body in relation to the rail makes the ride fast with a lot of room to carve big turns and extreme tilt angles. Balance On This Get Started Here: Create your own unique combo with this board. Add the Balls and Half Balls that meet your training needs. 3" Mini Balls: 3" Mini Ball is quick, responsive and requires fine tuning of your movements and board control as you lean forward and backward. Perfectly sized with the dimensions of the Phil Rajzman board to get the best ride with carving turns and movement transitions from foot to foot and pumping rail to rail. If using on an extremely padded surface or deep carpet these balls will be absorbed and limit your ride motion. Use two Balls to create a Double Pivot Board and then progress your skills to one Ball. 5" Small Ball: Progress your ride skills to this 5" Ball and carve big sweeping turns with lots of space between you and the ground. Advanced riders will enjoy staying high off the ground. Great on hard and soft surfaces. This ball is perfect for shoulder throwing warm-up before you paddle out and for trigger point release after your awesome training session. 5" Half Balls: 5" Half Balls allow you to create your own Wobble or Rocker board. Perfect for skill progression with lower body balance and upper body complex moves for greater posture awareness. Fast tilt and very responsive movements develop your reaction skills. Great for movement transitions from hands to feet and full body balance for core training for small riders. We offer these as an option for those needing less board tilt. 6.5" Half Balls: The 6.5" Half Balls come standard with the training packages. The size gives you more board tilt because they are larger. You can also create the Thrasher, Rock and Roll or the Big Drop unpredictable combos when you place a 3" Mini Ball or 5" Small Ball inside the Half Ball. This gives you more balance board combinations and options and will prepare you for rough waters, windy days and anything else trying to knock you off balance. This Half Ball is the best size for creating the Double Pivot board for practice pumping rail to rail and learning how to activate hip rotation control. Elysia's Notes: It's been an amazing journey to personally know Phil Rajzman. In 2007 we met in Huntington Beach, California at the ASP surf contest where he hopped on our board and blew our minds away with his balance skill. I trained Phil before the 2016 World Championships for 6 weeks and we worked on his fitness, balance and board skills using our Si Boards, Medicine Balls and Power Rope Balls. Phil works incredibly hard and is dedicated to surfing, the community and environmental conditions of surf locations, his educational tv show in Brasil and being an all around awesome person. I am so proud and honored to be able to present our Phil Rajzman board for you. Rocker Board: 2 Half Balls Place Half Balls flat side up for faster tilt. Using two creates a Rocker Board that tilts in 2 directions - Left and Right for example. The farther the Half Balls are from one another, the more stable the surface. You can place them very close together for more challenge. This is great for holding a position and rocking the board left and right to activate your muscle coordination. 2. Wobble Board: 1 Half Ball Place 1 Half Ball under your board and it will tilt in all directions and allow you to twist the board. Place in the center for an equal weight distribution. Place to the side and you will activate the side directly over the Half Ball. This is great for developing strength on one side if it is weaker or unable to function the same after an injury. 3. Single Pivot Board: 1 Half Ball and 1 Ball Place 1 Half Ball under the left side of the board and 1 Ball under the right side of the board. The left side will tilt front to back and the right side will pivot or slide forward and backward. A great progression to learning how to activate hip rotation on a moving board on one side of your body. Best set up: 3" Ball and 6.5" Half Ball or 5" Ball and 8.5" Half Ball 4. Double Pivot Board: 2 Balls Use 2 of the same sized ball under your board to activate each side in rotation. Placing the Balls close is more difficult. You will get multi-direction motion without the extreme tilting from left to right feet. A perfect combo for advanced skills like surf pop-up, quadruped, deep squats and adding difficult upper body battle rope exercises while maintaining balance. 5. Multi-Direction Board: 1 Ball The heart of the Si Board is riding on 1 Ball for a multi-direction platform. The freedom to move left/right, front/back, twist, diagonal, clockwise/counterclock and 360 spins all at the same time. This is the most advanced balance board skill to learn fine motor skill and full body awareness. Specialty Combos: for Unpredictable Training 6. Rock and Roll: Small Ball inside of Half Ball x 2 Placing a small Ball inside the Half Ball creates two moving surfaces. The small Ball rolls around inside of the Half Ball. The Half Ball is placed flat side up and creates a rocking or wobble motion. Four moving surfaces that keep you level and don't allow the board to roll to extremes. You feel all surfaces continuously knock into each other abruptly. Perfect for deep stance endurance simulating rough water and windy conditions. Use these combos: 3" Mini Ball rolling inside a Vortex 5" Half Ball or 6.5" Half Ball at each end 5" Small Ball rolling inside a 8.5" Half Ball at each end 7. Thrasher: Small Ball inside of Half Ball x 1 Placing a small Ball inside the Half Ball creates two moving surfaces. The small Ball rolls around inside of the Half Ball. The Half Ball is placed flat side up and creates a rocking or wobble motion. Two moving surfaces that give you extreme tilts in all direction with slight board rolling. Perfect for holding your push-up position against an opponent and a narrow squat with very quick foot reactions. Use these combos: 3" Mini Ball rolling inside a Vortex 5" Half Ball or 6.5" Half Ball 5" Small Ball rolling inside a 8.5" Half Ball 8. Ball Big Drop: Medium Ball fixed tight inside a large Half Ball Wedge a Ball inside the Half Ball so that the two parts do not move. You have two different sized balance points and this gets you up high off the ground. You will teeter/hover around and just as the Half Ball gets to the edge you will feel a fast drop to the ground. Reaction to this feels like a sudden drop and being able to control landing on you sport board. Use these combos: 5" Small Ball fixed tight inside a 6.5" Half Ball 6.5" Medium Ball fixed tight inside a 8.5" Half Ball Extend Your Rail For More Ride Space Please note: The Phil Rajzman board comes with a 24" rail using 8" Extensions. You can decrease the ride space to 16" by taking out the 8" Extensions or to 20" by replacing them with 4" Extensions. You will need to drill new holes in the board. Riders usually keep the rail as is and grow into their board. If you need help- we can assist you. How To Change The Rail Children should always be supervised. Use safety googles and equipment with proper tool use.
