Salix humilis Prairie willow is the perfect native for full sun, a bit dry and stays small. Oh, and benefits pollinators and looks immensely attractive. Expect plants to reach 4x4 feet, though they can grow larger. Shrubs can be pruned heavily as desired. Otherwise, enjoy it's textures early in the spring and graceful green all summer.
