The finger rosary is a metallic ring with ten beads and a cross and is a simplified version of the string of beads that constitutes the common rosary. Its use began with the religious persecution of Catholics, thanks to its small size it could be easily hidden and it allowed the wearer to guide his or her prayer inconspicuously. The piece PRAYER of SANTAVANITAS replaces the cross with the anatomic image of a human heart. The religious connotation is avoided in order to use the full symbolic power of prayer and devotion that the rosary represents, and this way create a symbol based on love in all its shapes and forms.
