Prayer Flags at Tövhön Hiid Monastery After an hour of hike through the deep forest, we arrived at Tövhön Hiid, one of the Mongolia's oldest monasteries which was built in 1653 for the first spiritual leader of Mongolian Buddhism. Even though this enclosure of praying flags was reserved for men, I have been able to capture from just outside the area the beauty of those flags moving with the wind and the high contrast between the purple of the prayers, the green of the forest and the grass and the rayless sky hinted at an approaching storm The available print sizes fit standard frame dimensions, but this means a slight crop of the original image. If you’d like a different format, feel free to get in touch through the contact form, I can arrange a custom print just for you!
