As with every Flo Mask component, our foam material has been lab tested to ensure no toxic chemicals are present. The foam is notched at the top for indication of direction and slightly inset at the bottom for added clearance of the lips. This can also help improve fit in the event you experience any micro gaps around the nose bridge. There will be a slight learning curve to don and doff your mask without causing the insert to slip out of place. Colder weather can accelerate the build up of condensation in the mask, even with a foam insert. We suggest dabbing or squeezing the foam in a clean napkin or tissue periodically to keep the mask comfortable all day. Cleaning Instructions We recommend adding a drop of soap to the foam and hand washing after every use. Be sure to rinse out all soap, squeeze dry, and leave it out to properly air dry. Letting it dry within the mask contours may help improve foam fit if you're finding it dislodges too easily.
