Dogtablet strikes fragile balance between celebration and surrender on new LP. Dogtablet's frontman Martin King, known for his work in both Test Dept. And Pigface, returns to form with highly collaborative and diverse full length. Featuring artists from the UK along with Ukraine, the Netherlands, Canada, and the United States, Designed To Fade blends diverse perspectives into an impressively cohesive sonic experience. Exploring both the joy and exhaustion of being alive, embracing life's fleeting beauty and inevitable decline-through it's international voices and reflective themes-the album captures the fragile balance between celebration and surrender that defines the human experience. Rich with global influences and ambitious songwriting, Designed To Fade is a mature trip-hop epic akin to greats such as Mezzanine and Dummy. Dramatic sweeping strings and synth lines highlight emotional, cinematic production. Laden with warm and organic sound design, Designed To Fade also exhibits an ample dose of glitch and digital bite.
