Inspired by MJ's childhood in County Galway (sailing on a Galway Hooker as a three year old), her Grannies knitted jumpers, and a trip to the Shetland Islands, MJ sat down and designed her second ever knitting pattern, reminiscent of Faire Isle patterns. (Her first she did as a child with her Grannies). This hat is about family, adventure, and strength. With layers of yarn, she tells a story in this design, of a beautiful sail boat moving along the waves. With stars above to encourage you to dream, anchors to keep you grounded, and a boat on the waves so you can always keep moving forward, this piece of Irish design is very special indeed.
