The Hi-Flame Precision is a 5kW multi-fuel Ecodesign stove, one of Hi-Flame's longest-running and most popular models, now updated for 2025. A larger viewing window than earlier versions gives a better view of the fire, while the new cast iron door handle reflects the kind of detail that tends to matter over twenty years of daily use. The Precision runs on the same tested 905-series combustion platform shared across the Hi-Flame range. Like all 905-series stoves, the Precision uses pre-heated tertiary air jets built into the cast iron rear back-plate to keep the fire chamber hot and the glass clean throughout the burn, not just at the start. The airwash runs across the full width of the glass. Where most stoves ask you to manage two or three separate controls, the Precision does it with one. A single slider below the door governs the entire air supply, primary boost, secondary airwash, and tertiary combustion air, all from one intuitive control. Turn it up for a rapid light-off, ease it back for a slow steady burn. It sounds like a small thing. In everyday use, it transforms how easy the stove is to live with. One detail that sets the Precision apart from most stoves at this price: a solid cast iron lid. Not a steel pressing, cast iron, the same material used in the door and rear back-plate. It adds mass, handles heat better over time, and is simply built to last. Direct external air supply is built in as standard, no external airbox required. That means the Precision can go into post-2008 homes and new builds without a separate room vent, and qualifies for installation on a 12mm non-combustible hearth subject to Building Regulations.
