The CD-1SQF kit includes the CD Soldering Station unit and one T210 Precision Handle. Soldering cartridges (C210 series) are sold separately. JBC offers a wide range of C210 tip geometries including conical, chisel, bevel, and knife profiles for different soldering applications. What is the difference between the CD-1SQF and CD-1BQF? Both are 120V JBC compact stations. The CD-1SQF (CDS) is the Precision Soldering version and includes the T210 Precision Handle for fine-pitch work using C210 cartridges. The CD-1BQF (CDB) is the General Purpose version and includes the T245 General Purpose Handle using C245 cartridges, which have higher thermal mass for larger joints and through-hole work. Choose the CD-1SQF for fine-pitch SMD and precision work; choose the CD-1BQF for general-purpose through-hole and larger pad soldering. What do the Sleep and Hibernation modes do? Sleep mode automatically reduces tip temperature when the handpiece is placed in the stand, preventing oxidation and reducing energy consumption during pauses. Hibernation mode drops temperature further for longer idle periods. Both modes restore to full operating temperature within seconds when the tool is picked up — extending cartridge tip life by up to 5x compared to leaving the iron at full temperature continuously. Is the CD-1SQF ESD safe for use in EPA environments? Yes — the CD-1SQF meets and exceeds ANSI/ESD S20.20-2014 and IPC J-STD-001F tip-to-ground voltage and resistance requirements. It also includes an equipotential bonding connection for integration into a facility’s EPA (Electrostatic Protected Area) grounding system. What C210 cartridge tips are compatible with the CD-1SQF? The CD-1SQF’s T210 Precision Handle is compatible with the full JBC C210 cartridge range, including conical (C210-001, C210-003), chisel, bevel, and specialized fine-pitch geometries.
