Grown for its gorgeous white flowers which hang in 4-6" clusters like strands of pearls. Flowers appear in mid-April and last for 2-3 months, often into June! 'Prelude' flowers alm ost a month later than Japanese Pieris and grows to only 24-30" tall and wide Taiwanese Pieris is said to stand up a bit better to our summer heat and humidity than Japanese Pieris, although we've found both species thrive in our area.
