"Premonition" is inspired by a dream Marie Antionette had about her milliner (Rose) showing her ribbons that, when handled, all turned to black and crumbled. The beautiful pale blue silk fades to black from crown to brim and celebrates all the luxe excess Rose's designs were known for. Created for the Milliners Guild Exhibition "The Rose of Versailles: Remembering Marie-Jeanne Bertin" and was on display in NYC's Garment District. 22.5" to 23" Headsize Lifted Millinery headwear is constructed with time honored techniques and fine craftsmanship. All hats are meticulously blocked and sewn by hand without the use of adhesives to attach trims. This ensures a long lasting hat with the ability to be retrimmed throughout the years.
