The three wrote all fourteen songs together and shared lead vocals equally, sometimes within the same track, working over two and a half years in Portland, Oregon — in lang's loft with its view of Mount St. Helens, in Veirs' dining room and backyard studio — and produced the record with Tucker Martine at his Portland studio in November 2015.This 10th anniversary deluxe edition adds the previously unreleased studio track "Accidental Tattoo" and twelve never-before-released live recordings, including "Constant Craving," "People Have The Power," and "Best Kept Secret," alongside the original album.
