Let’s talk for a minute about vacation. When people go on vacation, they can’t just walk out the door and leave. They must make preparations, sometimes a significant amount of preparation. They research a destination and find a hotel. Then they schedule time off. Shortly before the trip, they’ll make all necessary arrangements, like plans to board the pets and take their car to the mechanic to make sure it’s in good running order for the drive. Then, of course, there are the packing lists and the packing itself! It can be a lot of work just to go on vacation and have an experience. What about when we pray? How much work do we put into praying for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven? Might we be part of the answer to that very prayer?
