PreSonus Ampire. Ampire is a guitar rig simulator that utilizes State Space Modeling to create incredibly lifelike re-creations of classic (and often expensive, heavy) guitar amplifiers, cabinets, and pedals. State Space Modeling meticulously measures and digitally recreates analog hardware at the component level. Every capacitor, resistor, diode, and circuit element in the hardware schematics is modeled to capture their behavior, including unique component-specific non-linearities. The result? Flawlessly accurate virtual models of beautifully imperfect audio gear. No transformer overlooked, no valve ignored. For speaker cabinet emulations, we used impulse responses (acoustic measurements of real cabinet behavior) and microphone modeling to replicate the sound of the 16 iconic speaker cabinets featured in Ampire. Finally, the same advanced State Space Modeling technology used for amp modeling also powers five of the thirteen stompboxes in the Ampire Pedalboard. For those looking to use stompboxes on vocals, drum machines, keyboards, or any other audio source, the Pedalboard is also available as a stand-alone plug-in.
