Designed and crafted in Australia. Made from premium, sustainable timber, and 100% cotton cord. HOW IT WORKS Your artwork is gently clamped in each timber bar using a soft cotton cord. This securely holds your artwork, without damaging it. SIZE GUIDE Frame size and ideal artwork size: (Tip - choose to suit the width of your artwork, the length can be anything.) A5-15cm wide - suits A5 portrait orientation or 5-6" wide artwork. A4-22cm wide - suits A4 portrait, A5 landscape, 8"-8.5" wide artwork. A3-30cm wide - suits A3 portrait, A4 landscape, or 11" wide artwork. A2-43cm wide - suits A2 portrait, A3 landscape, or 16" wide artwork. A1-62cm wide - suits A1 portrait, A2 landscape, or 24" wide artwork. The artwork can also be narrower or wider than the timber bar - the timber or artwork will overhang accordingly. The top and bottom 1cm of the artwork is covered by the timber. HANGING METHODS Hidden (standard) - Hang from the 'keyhole' slot in the top timber bar onto a screw/nail/hook (not supplied) in your wall. Cotton Cord (add on) - Love the cotton cord triangle look? Add it on and hang from, well, anything! ‘I rent, I have no hooks!’ no problem, removable Velcro strips or other proprietary ‘stick-on’ wall hooks are a-okay. Timber Options Blonde and Brunette - Recycled Australian Hardwood: Blonde – light brown and yellow coloured timbers with fair tones of ripe wheat, sandy shores and an occasional soft pinkish tinge. Brunette – dark brown coloured timbers which range from pale brunette through to dark chocolate. Finished with a protective natural oil coating. Our hardwoods are recycled timbers; reclaimed from projects such as demolished bridges and old homes. They are premium grade, exceptionally beautiful, durable and character filled timbers. Raw Pine - Sustainable Queensland Hoop Pine: Queensland Hoop Pine is a light and lovely timber that has been used as a building and furniture material in Queensland for over 140 years. It is noted as the first export from Queensland when it was trialled for ship masts. Hoop Pine is the common name for what is actually an Araucaria. Our Hoop Pine is sourced from old plantations that are sustainably and safely managed. We thoroughly consider our options when selecting materials – to ensure it's is in line with our values of using environmentally sustainable and ethical materials. Before adding Hoop Pine to our range, we researched the environmental certifications and visited local plantations. While surveying the plantations we noted some reduction in the diversity of creatures compared to the nearby State Forest, but also found the plantation provided habitat for many species. We saw the alternative commercial uses of the land in the neighbouring area – cattle grazing and coal mining. The net carbon dioxide intake of a hoop pine plantation is of great benefit.
