This is particularly the case with kick drum mics, positioned directly in front of the kick where low bass and vibration are common. Primacoustic’s KickStand is a heavy microphone boom-arm isolator that combines a massive stabilizing base with an isolation pad to eliminate resonance from the stage, drum riser and studio floor from entering the microphone. The design combines a thick, high-density open cell acoustic foam isolation pad with a laser cut steel platform to essentially decoupling the microphone stand from the stage and eliminate unwanted resonance.
