Primer Why Choose Primer? • Maximizes adhesion between the natural nail and base coat • Prevents lifting and peeling • Dehydrates the nail surface to remove oils • Ensures a smooth, even foundation for gel products • Essential for long-lasting manicures Use Primer If: • The client has oily or moisture-prone nails that cause lifting • You want to improve adhesion and durability of gel or acrylic applications • You are performing gel polish, builder gel, or acrylic enhancements • You want to extend the wear time of manicures and prevent product separation What You’ll Need? • Proffi Professional Primer • Nail Dehydrator • LED/UV Lamp (for subsequent steps) • Nail File and Buffer • Lint-free Wipes • Alcohol-based Cleanser • Cuticle Pusher and Nipper Step 1: Nail Prep 1. Sanitize & Prep – Cleanse hands and nails with sanitizer. Push back cuticles and remove any excess skin. 2. Shape the Nail – File and buff the natural nail to remove shine. Ensure nails are clean, dry, and free from dust. 3. Apply Nail Dehydrator – This removes any residual oils and prepares the nail for primer application. Step 2: Primer Application 1. Apply a thin, even layer of Proffi Primer to the natural nail. 2. Allow it to air dry for 30–60 seconds (do not cure under a lamp). 3. Avoid contact with skin or cuticles to prevent irritation. 4. Proceed with base coat or builder gel application once the primer is dry and tacky. Step 3: Continue with Base or Builder Application 1. Apply Proffi Rubber Base or your preferred base coat. 2. Cure under LED/UV lamp as recommended (usually 30–60 sec). 3. Continue with gel polish or top coat for a strong, long-lasting finish.
