A hardy herbaceous or deciduous Primula which produces scalloped dark green leaves with prominent veins and reddish-purple midrib. The flowers are borne on rigid stems which rise f rom the centre of each rosette. Flowers can be very numerous and are held all at the top of each stem, which itself can be reddish in colour, occasionally a second stem will rise from this cluster to flower later. Each flower is funnel shaped, pendulous and has a feint scent lasting about one week. Will tolerate full sun if the soil is very moist at all times. Candelabra. Show more
