Native to India and Tibet, this little primrose thrives in damp, shady locations, so can work well where most other plants do not. Deep violet-purple flowers appear in late spring to early fall on clumping rosettes of pale green leaves. In colder climates it can be semi evergreen and is deer and rabbit resistant.
