Primus Sweet Corn is a hybrid, bicolor, TripleSweet corn known for its exceptional taste and disease-resistance. Primus is a TripleSweet variety, meaning it contains a combination of sugary-enhanced (se) and supersweet (sh2) kernels. This combination of 56% se kernels and 44% sh2 kernels means Primus requires no isolation from other sweet corn varieties. Vigorous plants grow to 6.5' tall and produce 8.5" ears that set at 24" high on the stalks. Because it has more sugar and less starch than traditional sweet corn varieties, Primus holds well in the field and once harvested. This provides a longer harvest window and allows more time between harvesting and processing/fresh eating.
