Prince Adam is the twin brother of Princess Adora. His alter ego is He-Man, the main character in the franchise. In the eyes of Eternia's Royal Court, Adam is a shiftless and inept playboy. Most Eternians perceive him as a klutz and/or a coward - notably his father King Randor, and Royal Guard Captain Teela. Because whenever trouble arises on Eternia, Prince Adam makes a timely exit...so that he can secretly become He-Man, the most powerful man in the universe, who then defeats (usually with little or no effort) whatever enemy threatens the Eternian throne and/or Castle Grayskull.
