Launching during London Design Festival 2019, Prism is a new ambient collection that plays with the idea of refracted and diffused light. It celebrates the simple beauty of sunlight, and a prism's miraculous ability to reveal the complete spectrum of colours contained within a single beam of light. Made to order. Price per square metre.///DescriptionThe original inspiration for the collection came after a stay at a secluded beachside cottage, where the first rays of morning light would shine through decorative crystals suspended in the windowpanes, infusing the sunlight with flashes of chromatic colour that danced across the rustic walls. To create the collection, Calico worked with various prismatic forms, experimenting with the spectrum of colours produced by the refraction and diffusion of light. They photographed these choreographed scenes and used collage to create compositions that capture the effect of dappled light playing naturally across a surface. The collages are then set against ambient hues, to create a series of five opalescent colourways. Made To OrderCalico wallpaper is designed to fit each interior perfectly.
