Unique Features Perfect results in the first print with our color-calibrated, photorealistic previews Control the inside of your objects with gradient and mixture materials Easily design complex assemblies using our nesting feature Ultra-fast loading and slicing — independent of size or triangle count Verify slicing results and see exact what the software sends to the printer Seamlessly integrate into your workflow through wide file format support Photorealistic Previews PrismSlicer's industry-first, photorealistic preview feature allows you to see your models the way they will be coming out of the printer — but before you waste any time or material on a test print. The printer's color distortions and loss of texture-detail are replicated exactly in the images, because they are based on a physically-accurate light simulation. Our team of researchers extensively verifies the accuracy of these previews against color-calibrated photographs of real printouts on a continuous basis. Environments The previews can be placed in a 360° environment which will change the background, and affect the lighting and reflections on the object. Place your object in any of the predefined background environments, download one from the internet, or provide your own HDRI in OpenEXR format. Outdoors at sunrise, indoors in a museum, workshop, or a photo-studio, amongst others are available. Surface Finish Simulate different surface finishes (from rough-sanded to perfectly polished) that would be applied in a post-processing step and see how they affect the look. With a continuous surface roughness parameter you can simulate Matte or Glossy printing modes, as well as any polishing applied to them. Progressive Rendering & Denoising Waiting time is over: Quick visual feedback is provided on screen as soon as the pixels are ready from the renderer. No need to wait till the full simulation has finished to see an image, but it starts noisy and refines over time. At every update, you also see a denoised image that removes the un-appealing noise, and thus cuts down on the required simulation time. Stop whenever you are satisfies with the preview quality. 3D Gradients Similar to 2D design programs, our 3D gradient editor allows users to intuitively position the gradient stops (planes) using the viewport or precise numerical transformations. Each stop can be assigned a material mixture which forms a linear gradient in between. Outside the gradient region, a solid mixture according to the closest stop is formed. This is great for combining flexible and solid materials! Assemblies Combine models of multiple sources into a single assembly and control how they overwrite each other. Single-material models, models with mixtures (digital materials), colored models, imported slices or models with gradients can be overlaid and nested to create complex 3D structures. In the Slice tab you can verify that the assemblies slice correctly by scrolling through the slices in a 3D viewport and compare it to the meshes of its components.
