Join me in my kitchen to cook and learn together! We'll batch cook proteins, condiments, starches, and vegetables - enough food to last you all week long! As we cook, we'll discuss technique, seasoning, how to put together fast-but-delicious meals, and talk through the basics of simple, healthful cooking. When you sign up, we'll map out a menu together that sounds fun, a bit challenging, and delicious! I'll put together a shopping list (all pantry staples, spices, oils, food storage containers, and equipment will come from me). You can pick up favorite items as well as bring ingredients you already own from home. (Have a pork shoulder in your freezer that you've been wanting to tackle? Have an abundance of CSA or garden veggies? Want to cook with farmers market bounty? Bring 'em!) When you arrive, we'll have snacks, sips, tunes, and dive right in. As we go, we'll taste everything, learn a ton, and have a grand time. This is a high-touch, custom experience in my home. Each session is $500 - feel free to come alone or to bring one friend or family member! I can accommodate 1-2 students. When we're done cooking, we'll pack up and label all the food and I'll send you home with instructions for how to enjoy it all week long. We'll talk through freezing items as well. If you have a technique you've always wanted to master, let's plan for it! Roasting, braising, gratins, souffles, pressure cooking, even simple baking - all are on the menu.
