This humbucker is based off of Adrian Smith's Ibanez Destroyer II pickups, specifically the bridge pickup, which I had the pleasure of rewinding before the Iron Maiden World tour i n 2025. These were created after taking careful note of the construction of Adrian's pickups, which many people believed were Super Distortions, but they were not - they were actually a combination of components from at least Ibanez and DiMarzio, but appeared to have already been rewound previously. More on this (including photos) in my upcoming blog post about the rewind! These pickups are the most accurate pickup set you will find, so if you are looking to recreate that early Maiden tone these are the pickups for you! As these are a replica set they will only be available in Ivory and Chrome to match the set in Adrian's guitar. Show more
