Industrial Ultrasonic Level Sensor The PRM Ultrasonic Level Sensor is a reliable and cost-effective solution for level measurement in Industrial applications. This unit is built with an all Aluminum body, ABS sensor pickup and is designed for a range of up to 4 meters. Operating Pressure 4-43 psi and temperature range of -20°F to 194°F. The ULM has an active display and transmits a reliable analog signal for PLC or controller pickup. The units have an IP67 rating and are suitable for use in Hazardous Locations with a Class 1, Division 2 rating when wired properly for the classification environment. Caution:The Meter IS NOT intended to be used for Explosion-proof Class 1, Division 1 Hazardous locations nor should be used for flammable product storage such as gasoline or other explosive stored materials. Typical uses are for a water transfer tank in a groundwater remediation system where the classification is Class 1, Division 2 or lower or a water transfer tank. The analog output is intended to be used to interface with a PLC or other device that can use the 4-20mA signal for control purposes. It is always recommended that this device be used for control and that an auxiliary mechanical High or Low level protection switch be used as a backup to this device should the device fail.
