The Debut Pro B is an evolution of the very popular Debut Pro, a deck that was introduced to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Pro-Ject. As befits Pro-Jects new direction to move towards balanced turntables the Pro B adds the capability to connect it to one of their balanced phono stages via a miniature multi pin connector or to any conventional unbalanced phono stage via normal RCA phono plugs. The cartridge included is the Pick-It Pro Balanced, an Ortofon based MM cartridge specifically made to support balanced operation. The rest of the design will be familiar to anyone that's familiar with its predecessor, as technologically it has some of Pro-Jects 'greatest hits' in the design, with an electronic power supply and AC motor, TPE damped platter and motor mount with a hybrid carbon fibre/aluminium arm tube, all contained within the neat and compact Debut design we're all familiar with. The metal work is nickel plated and contrast with the satin black finish of the plinth itself. This is a very easy turntable to setup, the cartridge is pre-fitted so it's just a case of setting the tracking force and fitting the anti-skate weight.
