Bolt-on Lateral Limiter Brackets C42-430 Bolts to the tail shaft fasteners of a Powerglide transmission when using a "shorty" conversion kit - no tail shaft. C42-431 Bolts to the b earing retainer fasteners on a Ford 9" OEM style pinion bearing retainer. These are the same Chromoly brackets used in the C42-429 Powerglide Lateral Limiter Kit and are Yellow Zinc plated for corrosion resistance. A properly installed Lateral Limiter kit controls engine and transmission movement during hard acceleration or braking. Recommended when using motor plates to mount the engine and transmission.
