Live Bacteria Live Bacteria can be found both within our own bodies and in certain fermented foods such as yoghurt, tempeh, and sauerkraut. Kefir is popular fermented food made from milk. The word kefir allegedly comes from the Turkish word keyif, which means “feeling good” after eating.
