Targeted Interventions Kits are designed to be used as part of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) to support students with learning their basic multiplication and division facts. This includes 0 X 0 up to 10 X 10 and their related subtraction facts. The materials in this kit are organized into individual Foundational Fact Set and Derived Fact Strategy Modules. Each module is a self-contained unit including custom card decks, specialized dice, and the teacher task cards. To help you target your instruction effectively, the modules are categorized into two types: Foundational Fact Sets (the essential building blocks like Adding and Subtracting 0, 1, & 2 or Doubles) and Derived Fact Strategies (where students use what they know to solve unfamiliar facts such as Near Doubles or Making 10). Following the framework outlined in Math Fact Fluency (Bay-Williams and Kling, 2019), the lessons begin with developing mastery with the foundational fact sets and progress to the selection and use of derived fact strategies for unknown facts. This modular design allows multiple teachers to share the kit; for example, one teacher can use the Doubles module while another focuses on Combinations of Ten.
