PROCEPTION 4 Way UHF Variable Masthead This UHF masthead amplifier offers the convenience of variable gain - easily adjusted on-site. It has an excellent combination of good input filtering, low noise figure and high input and output capabilities. The use of ‘F’ connectors makes it easy to use with a wide range of cable sizes and helps to ensure good system screening. The unit utilises two-stage amplifier circuits with interstage gain controls, ensuring that good noise figures and gain flatness are maintained as the gain is reduced. The amplifier is presented in the proven PROception free-draining ventilated housings. These discreet designs protect the amplifier modules from the elements but make it almost impossible for rain water to become trapped within the enclosures. This 4-output amplifier provides a popular DTT-compatible solution to the problem of providing multiple TV points in an older building. The gain can be adjusted over the range 1 to 16 dB, allowing satisfactory operation of the system over a wide range of received signal level. The amplifier can be powered via any of its outputs, providing flexibility in the location of the power unit.
