Cards | Original About the original: Mixed media on paper 9"x12", 2024 During a season where I wanted to walk away from my reference material more often, I created this painting beginning as a sketch with watercolor. I continued to experiment on it while vending at fairs, whiling away the hours with layers of colored pencil and paint, until it reached a point where it felt complete. The piece is named for its intention of honoring the creative process and its focus on sunny yellow; it also nods to one of the primary colors in printing- process yellow.
