The easy way to dye natural fibers "Procion MX" sounds technical, but it's really the simplest system for dyeing cotton, wool, linen, and other natural fibers. No need for boiling water or a complicated list of chemicals — with Procion MX, you simply add dye and soda ash (included in the kit) to plain water, then soak your material for an hour (or longer if desired.) It's really that easy; we tried it ourselves to make sure. We dyed a few skeins of sashiko thread, following the simple ratios in the instructions and using two dips into two colors to make beautifully variegated thread. Try it with clothing and other natural-fiber products. This set includes four colors of Procion MX dye in 2/3 oz. bottles, plus a bag of soda ash.
