For new breaths, new perspectives, and the quiet space that emerges when something old gives way to something new. The path towards this work was anything but obvious. The piece evolved through doubt, detours, and a constant movement between intuition and reflection. As an artist, there is rarely a clear map to follow, only directions, impulses, and traces to explore. Sometimes they lead you astray, but that is often where the unexpected begins to unfold. Within what first appears to be a mistake, a new idea can take shape, and in the search for the right path, something more beautiful than what was originally imagined can reveal itself. That is exactly what happened with this work. Through the mist-like landscape of the painting runs a distinct break in a tactile three-dimensional structure. A passage between what has been and what is yet to come. In the lower part of the work, two swans emerge. Subtle, almost floating between light and shadow. To me, they represent two forces that are often perceived as opposites, yet in their most harmonious state find each other. When reason and emotion move in the same direction, a rare clarity appears. An inner unity that allows us to move forward with trust. Beyond: Silence is about that very moment. Not about choosing between the mind and the heart, but about allowing them to exist together. About moving through uncertainty and discovering that on the other side awaits something lighter, freer, and more true.
