The Profile Galaxy sprocket is made from 7075 aluminium in Florida, USA and has a hardened chromoly steel insert for use with a 22mm diameter, 48 splined crank spindle. What is a BMX spline drive sprocket? Typically a BMX sprocket attaches to the BMX crank arm by a single bolt, this means that all the force from the cranks turning goes through this bolt. Whereas a spline drive setup means that the centre of the sprocket is in full contact with the sprocket. This creates a more direct transfer of power when riding and many riders don't go back to traditional sprocket bolt once they've tried a spline drive setup.
