Take a glimpse of: 1) Page 14 of the Program Overview 2) Novice Lesson 20. Note: 1) To help you get started with confidence, the first manual of the Novice Program (Lessons 1–19) and Module 1 (Lessons 1–25) include a comprehensive overview of all lesson parts. Printable appendix pages and comprehensive overviews make planning and teaching even easier. 2) Each lesson is thoughtfully designed to build upon and reinforce previously taught skills and content through ongoing review and practice. Students do not have to fully master each concept before moving forward—although providing a brief review can help reinforce confidence and retention. 3) The Novice Program focuses on CVC and one-syllable, short-vowel words. Modules 1-5 address short vowels, long vowels, vowel and consonant digraphs, diphthongs, multi-syllable words, and much more. 4) We recognize that every classroom and learner is unique. Begin by teaching all lessons and lesson parts as designed. If needed, adapt lessons to meet students’ needs by creating engaging games for extra practice and review. 5) Click individual manuals in the catalog to see a list of the skills they teach.
