The Susaen pattern was designed by Kirsten-Michele. Our sample was knit in Killington in the Snail colorway. Susaen is a top-down seamless yoke sweater that is knit in the round. T here is a double folded ribbed neckline followed by a textured yoke featuring knit, purl and traveling stitches, inspired by motifs from the Danish nightshirt tradition. There are also textured panels running down both sides of the body. Danish nightshirts have been around for hundreds of years, and were usually worked in one color. They were worn day and night to stave off the winter cold, and were beautifully embellished with creative textures across the yoke, body and arms. You'll need 4-5 skeins of Killington, depending on your size, to complete this project. Choose the original colorway below − or try another color! The Susaen pattern is available on Ravelry.
