The Ubergang pattern was designed by Katrin Schubert. Our sample was knit in two Miss Babs Gradient Sets in the colors Adobe and Carina. Ubergang is a simple, but effective idea to create a multicolored shawl - starting with wide stripes of pastel colors and ending with smaller stripes of intense colors. It's a large shawl worked in one-color brioche knitting, featuring altogether twelve colors of two contrasting Gradient Sets. Ubergang is fairly easy for beginners and brioche newbies - using small stripes of one-color-brioche. There is no purling and the pattern repeat is only 4 rows. So it's not a design about a shape or a pattern - it's all about colors! You'll need two contrasting Gradient Sets to complete this project. Choose the original colorway below - or try another color combination from our blog post! You can purchase the pattern for Ubergang directly from the designer on Ravelry. All patterns are sold separately and not included with purchase of yarn. Show more
