The stand is suitable for holding a ringlight or vlogging equipment on or next to a tabletop, and can also facilitate low light placement for illuminating backgrounds, providing unique lighting angles, or lighting a subject from underneath or behind.A variety of other grip equipment can connect directly to the base's 5/8" baby receiver. Both the stud and the column are double-sided and reversible, with a 5/8-inch stud with 1/4"-20 threads on one side and a 5/8-inch stud with 3/8"-16 threads on the other. This provides excellent flexibility for connecting a wide variety of gear to the stand. The entire kit folds down to just 18.5" and weighs less than three pounds.
