Original watercolour with pen&ink 11X14" My favourite wild animal of this prairie environment is this guy….the only “antelope” native to the Americas. We see them everywhere here o n the Canadian plains, despite farming, barbed wire fences and highways. In reality, these beautiful animals are a “thing” all on their own, their closest genetic relative being the giraffe! Their adaptations are their incredible speed (we call them “Speed goats”) and their eyesight…8 times that of humans.
