This Proof and Tralles Hydrometer is a professional grade hydrometer that has a scale that goes to 200 proof. It is used to calculate proof in higher alcoholic beverages as it is n ot accurate for lower alcohol products like beer or wine. Similar in use to a brewing hydrometer, but assumes no sugar is in the solution. You must float in a sample to obtain a reading.
