Naturally Derived, Ecocert and NPA Approved Zemea®Propanediol is a 100% naturally derived, Ecocert and NPA approved humectant which replaces glycols and glycerin and boosts preservative efficacy. A multifunctional ingredient, Propanediol has uses across the whole natural personal care spectrum, including in face, hair, body, deodorant, colour cosmetic and oral products. As well as being used for its moisturizing and emollient properties , in also acts as a natural solvent, an efficient active carrier for extract or other actives, a skin feel modifier and a preservative booster. In skin care Propanediol provides a soft, smooth, moisturized feel without tackiness or irritation. In hair care it moisturizes, and inhibits static while improving viscosity. In deodorants it provides good solvency of actives while improving skin glide without stickiness Works effectively with a variety of actives, including botanical extracts, dyes and natural colours, esters, conditioning ingredients and microbial actives to maximize the solubility of the active and optimize the delivery of the active for the end user. Increases preservative effectiveness, allowing the use of less preservative in many cases.
