Food-grade propylene glycol is used as the coolant for glycol chillers. This concentrated propylene glycol is to be diluted and added to the GC2 or GC4. Grainfather's glycol chille rs cools the propylene glycol and pumps it to your fermenter when signalled by your GF30 or Glycol Chiller Adapter (GCA). To keep the Grainfather Glycol Chiller operating at its best, they recommend replacing the glycol/water mixture every six months or as needed based on a concentration check. The 3 L (3 US qt) of propylene glycol dilutes to 9L (2.4 gal) of 33% glycol solution, which is more than enough to completely fill the GC2 or GC4. Show more
