"Protect the dolls" is a phrase of solidarity — a reminder that trans women, especially trans women of colour, face disproportionate violence and need active protection and support from allies. Who designed this tee?Jaimie McCaw, a trans artist. We specifically chose a trans artist for this design — it was important to us that a pro-trans solidarity piece come from inside the community rather than being designed by an ally. Is this a good Pride or ally gift?Yes, for trans people and trans allies. The design works year-round, not just during Pride — the need for trans solidarity isn't seasonal. Buying this tee supports Jaimie's work and contributes to Lonely Kids Club's broader support of LGBTQ+ artists and causes.
