The Prototype Biohazard Bundle is a collection of the first two Prototype games, Prototype and Prototype 2, remastered for the PlayStation 4. It was released in 2015. Prototype is an open-world action-adventure game developed by Radical Entertainment and published by Activision. Players assume the role of Alex Mercer, a shape-shifting protagonist with powerful abilities. The game is set in New York City, which has been infected by a deadly virus, and players navigate the city, complete missions, and engage in combat with various enemies, including infected creatures and military forces. Alex's abilities allow him to morph his body, consume enemies for health and memories, and unleash devastating attacks. Prototype 2 is the sequel to Prototype, also developed by Radical Entertainment. In this game, players control James Heller, a soldier seeking revenge against Alex Mercer, who he believes is responsible for the death of his family. Heller possesses his own set of shape-shifting abilities, including new powers like tendrils and a powerful claw. The game takes place in an open-world setting, referred to as New York Zero (NYZ), divided into several zones, each with its own infected threats and challenges. The Prototype Biohazard Bundle for the PlayStation 4 offers enhanced graphics, improved performance, and includes all the downloadable content (DLC) released for both games. It allows players to experience the complete Prototype story on the current-generation console.
