Sunrise in Provence, nothing can beat the beauty of the lavender fields, with the rows stretching as far as the eye can see in every direction. The lavender distillery works 24 hou rs a day during the harvest with the vapours intensifying the perfume in the air. As the sun rises there is a brief moment that the tips of the lavender flowers turn an incredible raspberry colour with the soft morning light. Taken with my Nikon D850 and professionally printed in carbon neutral lab in London (additionally for every print bought I donate £5 to the Woodland Trust to help offset any delivery impact). I have chosen to print on Hahnemühle German Etching, which has a warm base tone adding to the glow of the sun on the lavender and a mottled texture which enhances the texture of the flowers which have the rich purples that you see in the fields, I only wish I could ship the scent of the lavender too! German Etching is a heavy weight Giclée art printing paper at 310 gsm. Show more
